Liquidity and Mortality of Low-Wage Workers: Evidence from Wage Allowances in Brazil - with Raphael Corbi - [draft]
Investigating whether low-income individuals are more likely to face life-threatening events immediately after receiving a payment from the government;
Because such workers are liquidity-constrained, they do not smooth consumption and increase it immediately after the payment, engaging in behavior that favors mortality, such as substance abuse, eating unhealthy meals, etc;
